Tuscan Wine Tasting Course

AN EXCLUSIVE WINE TASTING COURSE, WITH WINES FROM THE “MARCHESI ANTINORI” CELLAR, COMBINED WITH TUSCAN CULINARY SPECIALITIES.

The course will be held by a professional wine expert, using exclusively the “Marchesi Antinori” wines, in a famous restaurant or, on request, in a splendid, Liberty style villa.

The course will consist of two phases: an introduction and a wine tasting to compliment the dishes served at the dinner.
6. 45pm – The Introduction.
This part of the evening will last about 45 minutes, during which time the wine expert will demonstrate the whole process of a correct wine tasting, from the opening of the bottle to the actual tasting, teaching the rules concerning the serving of the wine, how to recognise its qualities and defects, how to use the correct glass for the wine and, finally, how to appreciate it. The wine used in this first phase will be a Chianti Classico from the “Antinori” cellar.
7. 30pm – The Wine Tasting.
This part of the evening will last throughout the dinner. The expert will explain the diverse characteristics of another 5 prestigious wines from the “Antinori” cellar, chosen to compliment the splendid dishes prepared by the chef, Riccardo Casini, thus exalting the qualities of both the wines and the food.

N.B. With every course, one of the above wines will be served, depending on the type of dish it will accompany.

At the end of the evening you will be presented with a certificate to show that you have attended this course.

PRESTIGIOUS EVENING.
The course and the dinner will take place on a Monday or Wednesday, in the marvellous rooms of a beautiful, Liberty style villa, which was chosen, for its splendid atmosphere, by the Italian actor and director Roberto Benigni, as a set in his film "Life Is Beautiful".
